“Sorriso Thermae Resort & Spa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

The Rates Are Usually Very Expensive But if you go onto the Actual webpage the Run 3-4 weekend deals that made it possible for me and my Husband to have the Anniversary of our dreams, We stayed for anywhere for $90-$100 a Night but cant quiet remember. We had also saw a weekend 4 day package for 200 euro which we wished we had seen before we booked so if you do you research its very affordable and boy is it worth it. The Views from the Resort are breath taking and general area is amazing. Your with in walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants and other resorts the have dining and night life things to do. The meal plan for dinner and breakfast was amazing and well worth the extra money but there are small little restaurants and a small supermarket which sell the best sandwiches ever if you want to budget. The Room was smaller than expected but very clean & we had a balcony which you could see the beach from, the only problem we had was the bed was extremely hard. I feel for what you pay for the rooms and spa that the beds need to be upgraded. Other than that it was a dream come true, I felt like royalty and rich lol We also enjoyed the spa and spa thermal pool area which was like floating on a cloud!! They have one indoor pool, one outdoor pool and the thermal spa but thermal spa is not free but worth the money for relaxation!!

I must say, we were apprehensive about the meal plan but the food was excellent. If the chef could just use a little less salt it would be perfect. If you take the half-board option, know in advance that you will not receive any beverages at all, even water at dinner/lunch. You will need to purchase bottled water from the waiter. A little annoying is the lack of tea or coffee available with dessert, not sure if an Italian/European custom or way for the resort to increase bar chargs, but again this is minor. The resort itself is well taken care of and very clean. The rooms are spacious and thankfully, well-equiped with a/c. Since it was 100F when we visited in August, this was a necessity. Centrally located, you can easily hop a local bus and make the half hour trip to the beautiful beach of Sant'Angelo. But the resort thermal pools offer relaxation as well as guided pool exercises on certain days. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: the rooms separate from the main building are great for those seeking more privacy or quiet sleeping...

Not a lot to do in town as everything was closed on weekend (in February). This place looks great from the outside at night with its tempting neon lights. In reality it is quite bland, somewhat rude and not the high-end resort of 4 stars we'd imagined. Some of the reception staff were often rude or unhelpful. Meal service disorganised. Buffet was ok, though not many healthy options. Other guests milling about as if this is the Ritz. Free access only to the pools – not the spas. Pools aren’t very big and just bearable with the level of people around so I’m sure it would be a joke in the summer. Got left in dark at 2am in the labyrinth of stone tunnels around the indoor pool when the lights were turned out on us while we were still swimming – despite being told we could be in pool at any hour. Too many irritations to list really. A real disappointment.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks in May. Perfect place to relax and have a nice time in Ischia. Good location, fantastic view to the sea and sunsets. Nice restaurant Oasis with life music and dancing. Helpful reception, speaking english, russian, german. Good SPA center, termal pool works 24 hours. As minuses - breakfast and small rooms, but it is not important for this place. Thanks all management and staff for great time! Sure come back

The first night we had a problem with the room ( closed by Oasis disco ). We asked for a quiet room and received a room in silent place of the resort. The Pool sometimes were hot and sometimes warm, but it was a good service. Also the food was very good. A nice place.
