During our Christmas trip to the South of Italy, my girlfriend and I decided to have lunch at Pappacarbone. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the kind and friendly greeting, which was in fluent English.
We were presented with a menu written in both Italian and English. Shortly after ordering, the dishes were beautifully presented by waitress, and the chefs who came from the kitchen.
For the first course, we ordered Chickpea soup with seafood. The second course was Paccheri with crustacean sauce and fried sea bream with red onion from Montoro. As for dessert, we had a delicious hazelnut tart with bitter cocoa sauce. We were told that the hazelnuts were in fact harvested on a farm which belonged to the chef.
In addition to the high standard of food, the restaurant had a lovely and enjoyable Christmas atmosphere.
