The hotel is situated on a very busy main road and as such is noisy both day and night. It is very difficult to sleep as throughout the night one is constantly awoken by traffic sounds.
Some room have balconies, ours did not, however, one is not even tempted to open even a window as the noise is so bad with everything closed and opening a window increases the decibels further and adds exhaust fumes to the equation. This creates another problem, that of temperature in the room. Whilst there is air conditioning, the hotel will only switch it on for your room at an extra cost of 10 euros per day.
We hired a car for the week in June 2004 that we stayed at the hotel and were charged 7.75 euros per day for car parking, although nowhere could we see this stated and we were not advised of it until the last day. It was then pointed out that there was a sign near reception advising of the charge, however, it did not on the admission of the Manager give a price and it was written in Italian whereas the hotel had everything else relevant to the stay in English. Other local hotels offered free car parking for their guests.
On hindsight I would not recommend hiring a car though as the roads are very tricky indeed.
It was not permitted to pay for any drinks or wine on a daily basis and that led to the anticipated impossible reconciliation on the last night. I would therefore recommend anyone to check the bill accumulation on a daily basis to avoid the inevitable unpleasantness at the end of the holiday.
Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of our stay was the food. There is a choice of starter, main course and dessert; two of each which one is asked to choose the day before. If you are looking for authentic Italian food this is not the hotel for you. Our first starter comprised a choice of spaghetti with scrambled egg and bacon sauce (not Carbonari) or soup. This was followed by an undefined fish dish or veal. The fish was reasonable, however, the veal was processed and swamped in thick gravy and totally unpalatable and my wife declined it. Dessert comprised a choice of ice cream or cream caramel. This was typical of the meals and throughout the week the rest of the pasta starters were macaroni with very bland sauces. Really amazing was the lack of tomatoes either as part of a salad or as the base of a sauce. I have lived 18 months in Italy previously and this is the worse food that I have experienced. A few of the guests gave up after two days and for the rest of their stay they dined independently of the hotel although they had paid for half board.
The continental style breakfast was better than we had expected, however, here's the shock, the coffee was dreadful unless you don't like Italian coffee! It was so weak as to be almost tasteless and one was unable to obtain cappuccino, espresso, lungo or anything that tasted Italian.
In its favour the hotel is clean and the staff friendly.
The resort of Minori is wonderful and we plan to return, however, we will not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone who likes quiet or Italian cuisine.

1. The air conditioned worked everyday, during the day and the night and just the guest has got the switch to open or swithc it of.
2. one of the first thing that we tell to all our guests is that the parking is not included into the bild. Anyway, if we forget to tell it, there is the picture that show the price in all the language.
3. about the food,we always give many different kinds of choise about menu. However, we give to all our guests the opportunity to keep different kinds of vegetables, fruits and ice cream.
4. we are really disappointed with the opinion of our guests: We have rooms that have the balcony and looks into the mainly street and others that looks inside: we are much sorry, but the situation of the traffic doesn't dipends by us! At the end, we have totally rebuild and re-moderned all the structured, the staff and the organization.
