“Great hotelfantastic hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Just returned from an enjoyable week on a walking holiday based at this family run hotel.
What a fantastic hotel .
The staff really understand the meaning of hospitality and customer service.
One of our party wanted some chocolate after dinner one evening and a member of the team took off and came back with their own to share.
The food was amazing although it was a struggle to eat 4 courses a day.Lucky I was on a walking holiday.
It was nice to escape the crowds and heat from Amalfi in a quaint, quiet village where the temperature was a few degrees cooler
Would highly recommend this hotel to other travellers and would love to return one day.

Great place! Real family affair with people who could not be nicer or more hospitable. Very comfortable rooms, a wonderful warm pool with whirlpool for "after-hike" relaxation and a truly fantastic family Italian restaurant with everything homemade. Not a Hilton by US standards but for Italy, its a real gem and well located for hikers through the region and a very charming although a small one square town (actually a triangle and not a square). Would absolutely go back in a minute. Rooms were very comfortable and while there they were upgrading the TV. However, there was only one or two English speaking channels so the TV real did not matter. I was there with a hiking trip with a English group called Exodus and it was a fantastic experience! Could not have ben happier with it.

Room Tip: Try ot get a room with a balconey

This hotel is located in a small, friendly village in the hills behind the Amalfi coast. It is run by a family who are friendly, professional and always ready to help with any requests - even on 2 occasions when they arranged dinner for us when we arrived at around 10pm. Nothing was too much trouble for them, the food (and house wine) was excellent and very good value and we were sad to leave. We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants some peace and relaxation away from the tourist-dominated coast. It is also very well located for local walks including the unforgettable 'Path of the Gods' which starts in the village.

Great little hotel! If you don't have to be right near the beach, this is worth the trip into the hills.

Our room was beautifully appointed and had a massive spa bath. The pool and surrounds were lovely. Service from front office and breakfast staff was second to none and the buffet breakfast was the best one we had in Italy (and we were here for 3 weeks).

The restaurant was ok but the waitperson got angry at US when they stuffed up my husband's order and didn't have the decency to admit they got it wrong and apologise. Clearly this was not a language-barrier-related problem but a simple mistake and a simple apology and lack of fuss in getting what was ordered would have been appreciated.

Everything else was great.

This is a beautifully run family hotel. It was my first visit to Italy and I highly recommend both the area and this hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and charming. The food is also excellent. I found the bed extremely comfortable, bathroom plenty big enough and very clean.

The hotel is in a small town of Agerola which is well equipped with little shops, bars and supermarkets. The locals are very friendly / helpful too!

I would definitely come back and was so sorry to leave. I can't recommend it highly enough!

The place was lovely and clean, the food was good and plentiful and most of the staff were friendly. However, the mattress on the bed was rock hard and extremely uncomfortable and the shower was tiny. Many good walks start from this area. The local buses are not reliable (apparently due to the drivers not being paid so they run an ad hoc winter service). Local shop near you can buy water and essentials from.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony. We asked but didn't get one !

Stayed here as part of a packaged walking holiday. Would not rush to go back. Pool very small and cold. Food average for 3 star nothing to write home about. We were in a group of 16 and it was pop luck if you had a balcony or a window, we ended up with a window. Woken up each morning by barking dogs or noisy neighbours from house next door. This is a family run hotel and they are very friendly, the family even have a table in the main restaurant, which apparently in this area is very common, but seemed strange to me. The rooms were very clean and tidy, however would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony
