“Best Place in Batsi!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2014

The Nora- Norita apartments are situated a short distance from Batsi town beach on the road to Gavrion. The manager is the genial and hospitable Ioannis Katsilivas. Ioannis makes you feel really at home. He is helpful in every way, for example arrange car hire, advise on doctor and dentist facilities and go out of his way to assist you. Ioannis will meet you at the ferry port of Gavrion and also drive you back at the end of your stay if his busy schedule allows this. He will alternatively call for a taxi. We stayed at Villa Nora in the top aparment from which there is a magnificent panoramic view. The aparment is spacious and well equipped. There is a good sized bedroom with adequate cupboard space, air conditioning, ceiling fan and access to the huge terrace. There is an adjoining room with fridge, kitchen and an extra bed if needed. The shower/toilet area is of good standard. Cleaning/bed making was on a daily basis and towels and bed linen changed every 4th/5th day, or more frequently if you ask.. It is a couple of minutes walk to Kolona beach just over the road, and a 5 minutes stroll to Batsi town beach. If you dine in Batsi village you can wander back comfortably in 10/15 minutes: a good aid to the digestion! We paid a modest 40 euros at the end of August and 30 euros in September. Fantastic value for money.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: No special advice. The upper apartment is perhaps a bit more exposed to strong winds, the others rat...

Very nice location with view (from most rooms) towards the nearby beach and Batsi village. Friendly and helpful staff. On request the public bus stops in front of the hotel, very useful.
Kitchenette equipment is pretty basic. Only one electricity plug for fridge, stove, water heater etc. Wireless Internet signal didn't make it to our room, needed to go closer to the reception. Rooms were not very clean, dust on the tile floor.

Vila Nora and Norita was the reason to visit Andros island twice in a summer!!Great hospitallity, low prices, clean and tidy, with the best view and your own beach!!IThe best place to relax and enjoy a great view as both of the Nora and Norita have view to the sea , however the view from Norita is just amazing and if you think that is quiet but only 10-15 walk from the center from batsi and nightlife is the ideal place !!

Room Tip: for group of friends Nora is better for low cost but if you are couple the view from Norita can'...

We found the apartments on the internet and enjoyed our stay there in September 2008.
The best feature of the apartment was the wonderful uninterrupted view looking directly on to a small bay with beach. Looking left we looked over the larger bay to the town of Batsi. The town is 15 minutes walk and there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants.
The apartment itself was fairly basic but adaquet at 40 Euros.
The owner Yiannis was very helpful and picked us up from the ferry.
The mountianous island is a walkers paradise and there are some excellent beaches - Pidimatis Grias near Korthi and Delavoyas near Batsi which is part nudist. Andros Town is also worth a visit.
