“Wonderful place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2011

My husband and I stayed at Galini Hotel for two nights. We were given a lovely and spotless room with a balcony overlooking the sea. A very convenient and well equiped kitchennette came with the room. A nice breakfast was also provided. Location is excellent for visiting Naxos.

The best part was actually the family who owns the hotel; kind, generous and so helpful. George was the perfect guide, always ready provide much appreciated travel advice!

Stayed here at the end of September 2010, and Naxos was my favorite part of the trip. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast every morning was great. The decor isn't really my style, but fits very well into the ambiance of the island. Family staff were wonderful and accomodating. Loved breakfast on the terrace with other guests, all who seemed to be repeat visitors. The shower was ridiculously small, but I found the same thing in Santorini. Overall, a great hotel and affordable price and very close to town's shopping and restaurants.

The Galini is an easy walk from the ferry terminal and is located 300 metres from the main town beach. The building is two-storey, and has a slightly run-down appearance. Our room on the second floor was a reasonable size - not pokey. Cool white marble floor tiles and a very comfortable bed. As with all our budget accommodation in Greece, the bathroom was very ordinary, but we managed OK. Our small balcony had views to the port and ocean. There was a small vine-covered patio near our room where we were able to have an evening drink with our friends. We all thought the breakfast was adequate. It wasn't your full-tilt buffet, but we didn't leave the table hungry. Highlight was a big bowl of beautiful Greek yoghurt and another of local honey - delicious! We could sit inside the small dining room or use an outside table (which we did). Bonus was the interesting and eclectic group of guests from all parts of the globe. The Galini has a very friendly, family atmosphere. George of the pink shirt and his parents were extremely helpful, with tips on what to see and where to eat. We paid 55 euros a night in early June, which we considered outstanding value. A very happy experience.

What an Amazing hotel. Our first plan was to go to Naxos so that we can save money on accomodation and I was a bit worried that the hotel would'nt be up to standards. BUT MY GOD WAS I WRONG. I entered the room (get the rooftop one, the views are amazing) and I was in love with it. The room is exactly what i wanted. A comfy bed, a decent TV just in case, and an amazing private Balcony with my own sea view. Maybe the bathrooms were a bit small but I didn't care.

The breakfasts were amazing and more than satisfying. and you can even take your breakfast up to the room and enjoy it in your balcony. The room service people were more than nice and cleaned the room every day to perfection.

Location could'nt have been better. Perfect. 5 minute walk to city center and right infront of ST. George Beach

But above all George and Manolo were amazing. They helped us alot, and gave us tips of where to eat and where very a joy to be with.

You definetly get your value for what you pay in this Hotel. Don't expect anything extravagant or posh. It's an amazing Family hotel, with all what you need done in a simple joyous mood.

My wife & I have stayed at the Hotel Galini every September for the past 7 years. It never disappoints. George and his family are the most gracious hosts. The rooms are spotless and well maintained. The hotel is 1 block away from St. Georges beach, and a short walk into the town. Most rooms and balconies overlook the ocean. Whether you're there to just enjoy the beach (as we are), or you plan to hike around the island, the Hotel Gallini is the perfect place to make your home while on Naxos. As always, we can't wait until we can return again next September.

Good basic family run hotel. Aircon works well and quiet. Clean. Shower - handheld only and very small. Good beds. Good simple breakfast. Owners always at the front desk - ready to help...
Good location but rooms facing the street are a bit noisy.
Good for a short stopover - 1-3 nights at most... If staying more than that - probably would look for something more spacious and modern.
Would reccomend for budget travellers.

My family and I stayed in Galini hotel and were so impressed by the cleanliness, beautiful decor, friendly service and great breakfast!

It is a wonderful family run hotel where all of the family members were friendly and very informative about the island. Manolis rushed to help us with our bags as soon as we got there and George spent a great deal of time with us telling us where to go for sightseeing and good food. He arranged for a car rental immediately and it was brought to our door. We had a fantastic time because of this valuable advice. The parents were very friendly and interesting to talk to. It felt like family and this is what we enjoyed so much. The breakfast was great and it was so nice to sit out on the patio in the morning. The location was perfect since it was close to all the amenities. We loved Naxos and we loved Galini hotel! We will certainly return back to both!

Thank you for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable!!! You have a beautiful island and hotel!! We definitely recommend it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many wishes
