Excellent display of artefacts - vases, glass objects and pre-historic figurines - and a well-preserved mosaic outside on the 2nd floor.

“Extraordinary, must see!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

The 5000 year old Cycladic figurines are amazing, and have been an inspiration for a host of modern sculptors. Well worth the climb up to the Kastro.

“Small, cheap and very interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

This small museum has one of the finest Cycladic collections in Greece. Just seeing these minimal modern-looking sculptures dating from 5000 years ago gives you goosebumps!

“A must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

The Kykladic art is one of the most old in Europe and nowadays these little statues are still contemporary like. In Naxos Museum you can see many of these very beautifull little statues, that why I think it is recommended to visit this museum. So, there is a lack of information in the museum. The collection is impressive but the explanations are almost nothing. Because of that, the people who knows somethings about the Kykladic culture are happy, and the others are completely lost.

“Small but very intersting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

This small museum is really worthwhile watching. Not too daunting in size, but big enough to explain the culture that developed here more than 2500 years ago.
