“Neat restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

Great food and a friendly staff! I would reccommend this for couples or couples who have older children, as younger children may not like all of the different kinds of food.

“Primo Sushi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2012

Best Sushi on the Peninsula. The owner and head chef, Ken, has developed a wonderful restaurant in the Port Warwick area of Newport News over the past five years. Even early in the week, the restaurant always seems to be popular, and when the weather cooperates, the outside tables overlooking the park are a nice change. While the menu includes Thai & Japanese selections, Sushi is their forte, along with a good selection of appetizers (Beef Negimaki) and salads (Larb). I agree that service can be a little uneven at times, but the Sushi and most Thai dishes have always been excellent. The menu has changed to now offer three rolls for a set price, but don't worry, you can also order just one roll. Be sure to check their special board on the wall.

“Love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

One of our favorite local places. They have Thai and Japanese - so we can get maki rolls and my favorite eggplant or pad thai. Everything is delicious. Very comfortable atmosphere. Service is great.

“Service and food does not measure up”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

I never expected to visit a place that specialized in Thai and Japanese. I like both cuisines, so I was anxious to sample their food. Overall, the food is tasty and appeared true to the cultures. However, there were some hits and misses.

Hits

- The seaweed salad was excellent.
- The soup was very good.
- Most entrees were very good, especially the noodle dishes

Misses

- Although they show a variety of draft beers, they only had a few available.
- I asked for a gin & tonic with a lime twist and an olive, but i was served an old lime slice and no olive.
- The server did not understand or speak English very well, necessitating us repeating ourselves and asking her what she said.
- Service was below par. Not what I expected.
- The food prices are not a value. The quality of the food did not make up for the smaller portion sizes and high prices.
- their web site errors out.

Thai food is some of the best cuisine in the world, but it should not be expensive. Why pay more when there are a number of other fine Thai and Japanese places to go in Hampton Roads?

“Delicious and Nice Portions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2012

The food was very delicious and the portions are really nice. Recommendations: golden triangles (fried tofu); beef negimaki; gyoza; spider roll; and the roll combo where you pick 3 rolls.
