“Excellent meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2012

This restaurant more than lived-up to its good reviews. The decor is beautiful and I can't say enough about how good the food was. The menu selection made it hard to decide, but I settled on Linguini with white clam sauce ... it was fabulous! The restaurant is adjacent to the Holiday Inn, so very conveniently located. After visiting the Maritime Museum, this restaurant was the perfect place for dinner.

“Good food - quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2011

Tucked in the Holiday Inn hotel, this restaurant had excellent Italian food with large portions. Not many folks there on a Saturday night, which meant we had the full attention of the staff. Good food.

“"THE" Italian Restaurant (5 STAR Taste of Italy)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2011

My wife and I was not aware of this "gem" of a restaurant until she bought a "groupon", and an awesome surprise awaited. We usually go to Carrabba's for Italian, but this is now our favorite place. The owner "Jack", who is from Italy, took the time to personally serve us and not only did he treat us like guests in his home, but every course he brought to the table had us giving a standing ovation by meals end. We ate on the patio and this was perfect for us, with light italian music playing in the background, a light breeze and the italian charm it was as if we traveled to "Rome" for Dinner - very Romantic. The Crostini and Calamari appetizers were extremely fresh, light and tasteful, and our Main meals were both excellent, the Ossobuco Di Maiale (Pork Shank) is like "Italian" N.C. Bar-b-que, straight off the Bone. Jack was such a professional host, even with all the out-of area Power workers filling up the Inside dinning, he still attended to our every need. This restaurant is tucked away on the side of the Holiday Inn at J. Clyde Morris and I-64, so be sure to find it for the "Best" Taste of Italy in the area. *****FIVE STARS*****

“Very good food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2011

We had a very nice meal at Fiorello!

The calamri appetizer was very tender and delicious. The crostini was equally as wonderful. Salads were good. I would have preferred a little larger of a salad, but it was adequate. The lemon basil dressing was unique and a nice change from the standard dressings. Try it! Everyone at the table ordered a different entree and they were all equally delicious. All were nice sized portions. Desserts were delicious. Profiteroles were a dessert special that evening and they were great. I wish I had a serving now!

We had a very nice meal in a nice quiet setting. I am sure we will be back.
