“Excellent host for our family event”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2012

We recently celebrated a 90th birthday dinner with 28 adults and 6 small children at the restaurant. All the staff were very helpful, the service was very good and the food courses were nicely timed.
The food was very good and the portions were generous.
Aldo, the manager, was very helpful in making the arrangements for the party and made sure to call us prior to the event to confirm that we had everything we needed.
Our group was unanimous that they took good care of us and that the food was great.
Thanks to everyone at Tuscany for their help and good service

“Best kept secret in Newport News!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2012

Tucked away in a small strip mall you will find the best kept secret in Newport News. Tuscany is a fabulous Italian restaurant. It serves great food at resonable prices. The wait staff is wonderfully attentive. I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant.

The specials are almost the best. Tonight was surf and turf.....sirloin, grilled shrimp, and a crabcake....all were wondeful!

“Authentic italian”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

Greeting was curt, despite a nearly empty restaurant. Calamari was over-cooked, dry and red sauce very spicy. House chianti was excellent. Split two pasta dishes, small charge for splitting. Carbonerra and tortellini with vodka sauce and mushrooms. Both were simply superb. Been here several times before but not recently. Food remains excellent and authentic. Service has declined some, especially noticeable from the nearly empty place we encountered. Strongly recommended.

“Excellent Italian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Newport News. I've been several times, and I've never had anything that wasn't a great dish. I've enjoyed their Chicken Marsala (very, very good!), Chicken Parmigiana, spaghetti, a dish that I can't recall the name of that was in a delicious vodka sauce, and even their pizza (which was awesome, though not available on Friday and Saturday nights, as I understand it). All were very good. The garlic knots are delicious, and the salad in house dressing is also good! If you are considering going to the Olive Garden in Newport News, I would encourage you to give this place a try instead. In our experience, you may pay about $2 more per dish, but it is WELL worth it...so much better than Olive Garden!

“Best to show up hungry”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

If you're looking for good Italian food and not interested in spending a lot of money this is the place. Everything on the menu (at least what we've tried so far) is exceptional, the wine list has many quality affordable wines and we've always had excellent service.
