“Positive Changes”

Wow.. Can't believe this hotel can be like this compared our previous stay early last year. We stayed at Super8 sometime beginning of the last year and stayed here recently. I got to say - Rooms look amazing with new paints, nice big artworks & attractive bedding. Breakfast presentation was good, lobby appears to be upgraded as well, Rooms & hallways smell very fresh, beds were comfortable & as always staffs were very friendly and helpful. High five to Super8 Newport news.

“renovation in progress”

The staff here is great. They are cleaning the place up on a tight budget. People live there full time and party on weekends. Would not stay with a family. I was there as a construction worker. Place is dirty but maybe someday it will be a nice place. I think it will take a long time.

Sorry to hear that your recent stay was not satisfying. You would be glad to know that we have just completed our renovation on Feb 1st week, 2013. Renovation projects included Painting entire rooms including door frames, Accent wall, Innovative Top of the Bed, Attractive Headboards & Artworks, New Toilets, Renovated Lobby with Flat Screen TV & Seating area for comfortable breakfast & Enhanced Super Star breakfast which includes Cinnamon Roles, Waffles, Juices, Breads,Coffee & Fruits. As far as cleanliness is concerned, we have shampooed all the carpets in room & public area and our housekeeping team is spending extra time on each room to clean them thoroughly. Please provide us one more opportunity and we will make sure it will be an awesome experience.

I apologize that you had to wait for front desk clerk to get back to desk. Our front desk clerk takes customer service as a priority and they do go to guest room if guest reports any issues right after check in & make sure they have been taken care of which was the case on that day. To overcome the smoke odor on the hallways, we have recently installed heavy duty exhaust fan to move the air in the hallways and air freshener dispensers on each floor which will spray fragrance every few minutes. Again I apologize for inconvenience, hope you will consider us again in future.

I apologize that we were not able to meet your expectation this time. As you may have noticed, we were going through renovation at that time and that could be the reason you might have seen some issues with cleanliness. As a part of renovation project, we have repaired all the rooms walls and bathroom ceilings and painted as well.
