We traveled to Provence in September. Most of the tourists were gone and the weather was great, with the exception of some wind. The hotel is truly beautiful. It is perched above the hillside town of Bonnieux in the Luberon region (Peter Mayle's stomping grounds). Our junior suite was of good size, had a private patio and a large bathroom with a nice tub. The hotel also offers a lovely pool for soaking up the Provencial sunshine. The best part of this stay was the food! Both breakfast and lunch or dinner are included. The morning meal is served off the main dining room in two separate breakfast rooms. The tables are set with gorgeous linens and china. We were treated to pain au chocolat, croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh squeezed juice and cafe au lait every morning. But dinner was the big event! Chef Cedric worked his magic every night, and there were no disappointments. The menu is seasonal and there is a chef's selection offered each night for all courses. The service is also impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel for the views, service and the food!
