“To be avoided at all costs.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012 via mobile

Luckily we only had a coffee there, it was undrinkable (it looked more like thee than coffee). The price more than 9 euro for on watery expresso and two diluted cappuccino exaggerated !
I recommend you avoid this place at all costs, it is true that it has an attractive interior but the quality of a bar is not determined by its interior decoration but by what is served !

“bistro food with a view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

The Cafe Boucane serves uncomplicated food in a stylish cafe setting with splendid views over the marina; the downstairs area is for drinks, upstairs a more elaborated restaurant has attentive and friendly service. There is fresco tables available next to the pier.

The food goes from Italian pasta, fresh fish, sea food or salads to french style set menus. Everything is prepared nicely.

Go for sundowner as the cafe is facing west!

“Used to be good, now it's average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2011

This used to be the "in" spot, with live music and good, innovative dining. Now they have an average cuisine, at a not-so-cheap price.

Inside is very noise, service is reasonably good and efficient. They need to get a good chef to look after the kitchen. The decor is interesting, since it's in the old haring smoking factory (there still are some parts of the factory visible).

“poor food for committed clients”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2011

our group of 24 had prebooked a table and ordered from a set menu that sounded attractive and very French - Grilled Fish or Potted Duck (a rich meat special)

Starters were perfunctory - Terrine (not home made) Herring Salad or Camembert in pastry etc - the cheese was still solid and the pastry dry.

Main courses were overpriced restaurant food at its worst.
Grilled Salmon - and this from one of the cod landing ports of France in its heyday
A dry and inedible leg of duck etc

Sweaty service - a shame to have been given such badly cooked and selected food when the position overlooking the harbour and the sea deserved so much more

Avoid this place for food - there are plenty of better choices in Fecamp .
However it has a great terrace and a lively bar in the evening
