“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and had plenty of storage space for our needs. The bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was simple and delicious. The location was perfect...a little off the beaten path and a quiet at night. We would definitely stay again.

We found the service and staff outstanding with an amazing attitude and always ready to help. They went beyond the call of duty and nothing too much trouble. Food in restaurant superb in the evenings. There could be more choice on the breakfast buffet.

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel, coming as our visit did in the 5th and 6th days of a 6 day walking/climbing holiday in the Pyrenees. We didn't have a balcony, but everything was very clean - and there was a bath!! Also, the hotel staff were exceedingly friendly and on our sixth day of climbing/walking, when we'd been too disorganised to pop down to the local Carrefour to buy ourselves a lunch to take up to the peak, we asked the manager whether he might be able to throw something together for us, which he did within ten minutes during one of the busiest moments of his day! Also, the lunch was great and just what we needed when we got to the top of the peak - plentiful, flavourful, easy to eat without too much mess...Ideal! Food within the restaurant also very good. For what we were paying, I don't think we could have asked for anything more.

Room Tip: You might want to ask for a room with a balcony, but really, it makes very little difference.

I stayed here during a motorcycle trip through the Pyrenees, booking a room with a balcony. The hotel is nicely located, with great views to the south, and is relatively modern. The rooms are well sized, but fairly basic.

Disappointingly, the room I got didn't have a balcony - just a full-height opening French-window with a railing outside. When I asked about this, I was told that the "balcony" rooms don't all have balconies, but all face south so get the best view. So why call them balcony rooms??? Call them south-facing, or deluxe or whatever and that's fine - charge extra - but don't call them balcony rooms if they don't all have balconies...

Breakfast in the morning was good, and good value. My impression overall was of a good hotel that could be so much better...

Room Tip: See above - if you book a "balcony" room, just make sure it's got a balcony... :-)

This hotel has a very picturesque location. It is rather basic but charming. Rooms are small, sparsely furnished and are tired looking though clean. There is a restaurant in the hotel which seemed to be the only one open the night we were in town. The meal was excellent and there wera good number of local people dining. Parking is complimentary. There is a small lounge adjacent to the restaurant serving drinks. The staff were attentive and the owner went to some trouble to suggest good driving routes through the Pyrenees.

My husband doesn't like fish, but they went out of their way to get him something else. The salmon starter was huge and delicious and the duck maincourse was equally as good. So the Sunday was a disappointment - maybe chef's day off? Nothing wrong with it, but not as good as the fantastic food on the Saturday! Staff were very friendly. Hotel rooms were good too.

Really friendly staff, especially as we were the last guests before the end of the season and the hotel was closing after we left.
