I booked Hotel Julia on the basis that it was compulsory half board in August and thus would deal with eating at start and end of the day for my holiday with my two children (10 and 9). However, beware, this hotel is not set up for children and shows no inclination to do so. We were not even offered a children's menu on our first night and even when you do there is no choice, you get what you are given. For adults this is fine and the food is good quality but it is a nightmare with young, fussy children. The staff were condescending, bordering on rude towards the children. This was the fourth hotel of our trip and the service was far and away the worst. The hotel is somewhat anachronistic and seems unsure if it wants to be a hotel or a high end restaurant. Room had rust on bath fittings and walls felt damp, shower a fierce jet, no proper curtain so floor got soaked no matter what you did. Staircase is steep and narrow, not good with cases. Badly in need of updating.
