That is with good weather of course, during the day you can get up close and personal at low tide only. If it is high tide go up to the East of the village towards the 360 museum. Great views and if you walk from the village you don't have to pay for parking at top.
Sunsets are magnificent as the sun sets to the left over the remains of the harbour!

“Amazing views of the remains of the harbor”

We don't call them the Greatest Generation for nothing. The British built a prefab harbor at many secret locations, floated it across the channel, and assembled it under the most trying conditions.

“Impressive site. The remains tell the story”

We had a brief visit to this site on a rainy day. The somber mood really told the story of what must have happened here. Saddening, but at the same time inspiring for what our nations have overcome.

“Awe inspiring”

Amazing that they are still there more than 60 years later. An astonishing piece of ingenuity and engineering that was such an important link in the invasion plans. I learned all about the Mulberry harbour at school but to see the remains in real life is so extraordinary.

“Breathtaking and unforgettable”

Lucky to arrived when the tide was out and the sun shining. Most impressive view and a view I will never forget. A true humbling experience wish we had time to explore the nearby museum.
