“Disapointing - location great but didn't think the museum made the most of this”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

Sadly, we were not impressed with this place. Yes, the location is great and they had some interesting artefacts but we didn't think they were well presented and didn't add much to what we already knew. We were much more impressed with the cinema on the hill and spending time on the beach, looking at the remains itself

“Small museum, but with some great maquettes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

The museum itself is rather small, but it has some great maquettes on display that tell the story of Mulberry Harbour. Overlooking the actual site of teh harbour and seeing the remains 'floating' in the water, you get a very good feeling for the gigantic masterpiece of engineering and the logistics that have been delivered here. It also puts the efforts for conquering all the (in-)famous beaches around the city into perspective.

“Educational & striking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

As others have noted, some of the museum contents are familiar from other Normandy locations. What makes this one, is its striking location and some of the (moving) models which bring the events of D-day and after to life.

Well worth a visit just to absorb the enormity of the Mulberry harbour venture showing the best and worst of mankind in one place.

“location makes this experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

The museum contains various artifacts from the World War II era. The artifacts are very similar to the many D-Day museums in Normandy. What makes this museum unique is the model of the mulberry harbor in a room with windows that overlook the ruins of the mulberry. It gives one a full understanding of the undertaking.

“Best museum for learning about the artificial harbors of D day and beyond”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

The other reviews have covered it very well. Keep in mind that they close for lunch so you won`t be surprised or disappointed if you arrive at that time.
