Very convenient location and nice appearance on the outside lured me in to take a better look at Hotel La Pergola. It's at the end of a road that is widely *considered* the pedestrian road because most of the time it is blocked off to motorized vehicle traffic. there are many restaurants on this road with outdoor seating here where I spent much of my time over a 3 day span. This pedestrian road is a very brief 5 minute walk to the market square and cathedral. Bottom line is that you're right where you want to be location-wise if you stay at Hotel La Pergola.
The guy at the front desk was cool but is well aware of the good value of this hotel so negotiating price here is only going to cost you time and not save you any money. He was very helpful in showing the room and the **secured parking lot**.
Solid Wifi connection and breakfast was cheap and delicious. **The free continental is just toast and coffee but the jam is fantastic. Got the fruit for like $1.50 and it was HUGE and very filling.**
Wasn't the most or least expensive place I stayed in Nicaragua. the AC was great, the shower could have been a little better as far as hot water goes, and the rooms were very clean with TV.
