The hotel is beautiful with an interior courtyard which has a swimming pool in the rear left section. The rooms are comfortable, but ours facing the city's main plaza or park was a bit noisy. At the same time, the view into the park was quite interesting.
Although the electricity was interrupted by the country's scheduled blackouts, the hotel's generator did provide lights but no air conditioning until power was restored. The restaurant serves patrons on the front porch as well as in the bar area. We enjoyed leisurely drinks on the porch, but we found the prices a bit higher than most other restaurants, so we did not order food.
If you want the experience of a building that exudes history, including pictures of William Walker, the man from Tennessee who was briefly ruler of Nicaragua in the mid 1800s, you will enjoy this hotel.
