“So Good We Went Back the Next Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Our hotel recommended this restaurant. We tried it last night. Two of us had lasagna and my wife had the red snapper. Both came with small salads which were excellent and the food was outstanding. My wife and I decided to go back there tonight. She had lasagna and I had quiche. Both were great. Had a brownie and key lime pie for dessert.

Food was fresh, home-cooked and very very good. We also had Perrier water. The bill including tax and tip was $25.

The menu is limited. Lots of salads and sandwiches with a daily special and plenty of desserts. This is not a steak place or having typical Nicaraguan food. It is on the main restaurant street across the road from Mona Lisa pizza which is the best pizza in town.

“A hit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

My husband and I became regular visitors of Cafe de los Sueños. They have amazing smoothies. Over the course of our month long trip we tried banana chocolate smoothie, orange smoothies, pineapple, orange and honey smoothie, frappuccinos (2x1 on Thursdays). We ordered the chicken panini more than once. It is really delicious and they order their bread from a local baker who uses healthy baking methods. We also tried their breakfast and it was great! The baker who supplies the bread at the restaurant also makes amazing natural peanut butter, which we bought at the restaurants monthly farmers market. At this farmer's market they also showcase other local retailers. It is worth checking out, you also get a free coffee.
The dog paintings in the restaurants are made by an expat who supports animal welfare in Granada. Check this restaurant out, they are doing all the right things.

“Best Salads in Nicaragua hands down”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Love the salads here! So full of great, fresh ingredients. Great value as well. When I want a salad this is the first place that comes to mind.

“For quick lunch, not for dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

Went to el café de los Sueños a few weeks ago. The waiter was not very helpful and fortunately the owner or manager (a young lady) attended us and the experience became a lot more pleasant. As a snack place, or cafeteria it is ok, as a dinner restaurant I will not recommend it for the moment. The selection of dishes and their elaboration is still not that. But again, very friendly manager and I am sure she will makes the place get better with time.
I will suggest to have the house dog out from the main entrance or inside the place. Apart from bothering guests having lunch or dinner outdoor, I would not recommended to have a dog left loose in the restaurant for many reasons, some of them obvious...
