“Great value and location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

This is a great little find. They have private and dorm rooms. I stayed in a dorm and it was secure and comfortable. There is a nice little patio and the showers and bathrooms are adequate, if not the nicest. There's a great DVD set-up and free guide books to borrow. And the best part is that the people staying there were very friendly and it was easy to strike up a conversation.

The place is also a great deal and very central and safe. The guys who run it are nice, if a bit distant. They have a great jewelry store, if that's your thing!

I stayed here for a couple of nights during Semana Santa and thought the hostel was lovely, Cesar the owner and the others were so friendly and helpful. They responded really quickly to my email requesting a booking, the hostel is small and quiet with just enough space for the guests (one dorm room and a few privates). I stayed in the 8 bed mixed dorm which was a good size with lots of fans (important for Granadan heat!). The TV area has lots of DVDs to choose from and there's a kitchen and patio area. It's really centrally located on the same street as La Merced church where you can get great views across the city, and nearby a few other party hostels - it can be a bit quiet if you're at the hostel on your own! I would definitely recommend Hostal Entre Amigos if you're looking for a nice intimate hostel to base yourself for a few days in Granada.

nice beds, clean sheets, sweet little courtyard... a good place to get off the road!

everyone that I met was courteous and willing to look after needs; the rooms were clean and well furnished, and there was tactful decoration at the hostel overall...

location is very near the downtown area with easy access to all that you need in Granada.

Very nice guy who owns te place (really good in communication by email, very open to share things about the city and country). We had a good time. It is a bit expensive when you look at the other rates in town, but we found it worth it because it was a small and personal hostel. Only minor point is that all the rooms are facing the patio, so when people watch a movie or are chatting you can hear it very good inside your room. wasn't a point for us, but for some others it was.
we used the kitchen twice, and that was all perfect too.
what came as a surprise is that we had a double bed (as asked for) but with a single bed on top. we didn't really like that, but enjoyed the stay anyway (but maybe you can ask whether there is a room without one, so you won't have one above your head when sleeping).

I stayed at Hostal Entre Amigos for four days at the end of my first trip to Nicaragua. Cesar (and the other guys in the shop AND the night watch) was really friendly, and we had some interesting conversation about their different handicrafts. I made a little research about hostels in Granada, when I came their for the first time, and decided that this should be "my place" when I returned. There is a warm atmosphere, the room and the bed was superb! And the Hostal is placed near to the City Center. The kitchen could have been cleaned better - but that's up to the costumers as well.

The owner and other guests were very nice. Private rooms very big, clean and nicely furnished. Definitely a good experience and sure I ll go back. Free wifi, laptop, coffee and books you can borrow. There s also a wonderful craft jewelry and objects shop in the entrance.
We bought lots of souvenirs!
There s also a big tv screen with dozens of DVDs you can choose from if you decide not to go out.

I go to Nicaragua every year as to respect the Costa Rican law. Before going I checked on the Net for a place to stay in Granada. The reponse they sent me by email at Hostal Entre Amigos was so welcoming that I decided to give it a try. No regrets at all ! The place is nice, the boutique has a whole lot of special things to offer and the staff is just nothing else but great. More so I have met some people that were satying there too and made friends with them. In fact we still are in contact. So when a place is so good and warm, clients staying there tend to be warm too and you get the bonus of making friends. If you ever pass into Granada don't miss out on Hostal Entre Amigos.

Michel

Room Tip: The place is very close to the Central Park

mission accomplished then!
because of the simple fact that you met new people here and are friends now and that is the greatest compliment we can have as a hostal.
