You can snag a boat tour of the Islets and see the little islands formed by volcanic eruption. It's not very expensive and it's a good way to see the islands. Many well-to-do Nicas have houses on the islands and they are cool to see.
There is a small island with a bar and pool that you'll probably stop at to have a beer, lunch or soft drink. This is the kind of place I'd like to retire to!
We stopped at Monkey Island and a monkey jumped on our boat. It fell in love with my 8 year old's long hair and jumped on his head and started trying to pick bugs out of his head like in a Jane Goodall video. Highlight of the trip.
