“Will be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

Have had 6 wonderful days on this little pearl! Enjoyed 3,5 days fasting program which was really well organized and I felt I was in good and professional hands!
The food is super, the staff is really kind, pool and spa is great!
I really hope to come back one day!

Friendly staff, great massages, delicious, healthy food, (paradise for raw foodists and vegans) in a lush, green and pleasant environment. The yoga and meditation was not as good as their sister resort in Koh Samui (visited in 2008). Young instructor yet to learn how to focus on students. We made use of the free bikes although our kids (aged 12 and 9) couldn't because the bikes were too big. Enjoyed a bike ride out to Long Beach - peaceful and quiet with some steep hills and great views. Also enjoyed the free kayaks visiting the beautiful bay when the tide was in during the late afternoon and evening when the bats were out. (Life jackets were too big for our kids) Walked to the local waterfall but due to the rain it wasn't accessible. Upper Hill-top cottages were pleasant but seemed a bit pricey for Thailand, especially in low season. Wonderfully isolated location.

Room Tip: Upper hill cottages are best.

Koh chang spa resort is a touch of class in the middle of paradise and a life saver to boot!! Sauna, Jacuzzi, outdoor swimming pool even in the rainy season when we were there is a must, food in the restaurant ranked one of the best restaurants in the worlds top 50 it is amazing food!! masseuse is professional and essential to the trip, white sandy beach trip when booked, snorkel all mixed in between detox and liver flush drinks that are ridding your body of the sugars put there in our everyday food that fills our body full of too much yeast that makes it impossible for our body to digest thus making us believe we are greedy little piglets who are destined for a life of dieting, obesity, anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, memory loss and all many of mental and medical disorders dreamt up by a medical profession who know this to be the case but prefer to only treat our stated symptoms so they prescribe drugs to put in our bodies that in fact cause our body to produce more yeast in our stomach and acid in our blood in short candida the cause of most illnesses all over the world and little old Koh Chang Spa Resort sorts it out in a few weeks...I had depression, sleeplessness, low energy levels, and god knows what else and now after one week I feel amazing and the colema the water flush up your rectum a doddle after you get the first experience out of the way!! I have none of the above symptoms, the staff are so helpful, informative, I now know what health foods to choose to buy to keep my digestive system clear and to say I feel content would be an understatement, white sandy beaches, snorkel in the sea and be back for tea detox to your hearts content...the accommodation is done to the highest spec see photos...its a must the ferry ride from Trat to Koh chang about half an hour get the plane from trat to Bangkok if possible otherwise an 8 hour bus or taxi journey awaits you and the taxi costs £100 as opposed to £58 per person on the plane.

Room Tip: Avoid the mating frogs in the rainy season or book a room away from room 214!! the frogs croak all n...

I am 12 years old traveling the world with my family. I went to Koh Chang Island in December 2011. We came just after Christmas and the quiet and calm was unbelievable. The food is amazing, the pools and ocean are great for a day at the beach, and a nice place for walks in the evening. While on the beach, you can be there all day. You can order food or drinks to your seat, and choose to go in the ocean or the pool. The staff are very friendly, helpful and polite and arriving the staff will bring your luggage to your room. This resort is a calm nice and convenient place and was one of my favourite places to travel.

After owning and running a guesthouse in Cambodia, a detox in a serene environment was exactly what I was after! I did the 5 night, 6 day semi-fasting program and stayed in a single hill cottage room. The program itself was great, although a little more guidance in general wouldn't go astray. The detox drinks are actually quite tasty and the yoga/meditation sessions are great and also a good way of meeting others. The accommodation is stunning, I absolutely loved it. A nice big bungalow amongst the trees with a four-post bed and a bathroom with a door/window that you can open so it feels like you're showing in the rainforest (although not overly private). The balcony was huge and a nice place to sit and read and take in the surroundings. The massages are probably the best I've had in Thailand, so don't pass up on the opportunity! If I were to do it again I would stay longer to take advantage of the raw food restaurant!

Room Tip: If you're looking for a cheaper option, the oriental rooms are very nice and still quite private

If you are looking for an amazing retreat from the typical tourist spot, this is it. We came to the Spa Koh Chang after a long bus-taxi-ferry-taxi ride late at night and were not sure what we had got ourselves into. When we woke up and were able to experience the absolute beauty of this place we were sold. The Spa is for travelers who are looking for "something more" of their vacation. It is a great place to enjoy yoga and meditation, along with cleansing and fasting. We were not there for this though, as we thoroughly indulged in one of the best vegetarian/vegan and raw food we have ever experienced. For vegetarians and vegans this place is absolute heaven...especially in Thailand where there is a definite lack of this type of cuisine, (although they do have meat options). The Spa is far from the beaches, about 20-30 minutes but we thought it was worth it. We rented a motor bike from the hotel and explored the Island everyday for under $10 US. We look forward to our next vacation to Thailand to visit the Spa again and come by plane next time....

First experienced of staying at bungalow and with no air-cond, but unexpected comfy. Friendly Staffs and with well preparation. The weather on the day we arrived was terribly worse, and they arranged the shuttle very well on both day of arrival and departure.
