Depends on what you look for. If you usually stay in hotels, don't go. The bungalows didn't have any facilities except an outdoor toilet with cold water. The bungalows were cold, and me and my friend only got one blanket to share. We were freezing!!! And all little jungle bugs and animals are able to get into the bungalows. Our friends had a rat...
But if you are a backpacker, this could be something for you.
The restaurant was great with beautiful scenery and delicious coconut milkshakes.

After 5 nights at Remark Puzi Huts in Bang Bao we were eager to have a change of scenery. So we headed to the Oasis at Lonely Beach.

We were lucky enough to see some monkeys from our balcony as huts join the jungle at the rear.

The owners are very accommodating and it's much quieter than the Treehouse on Lonely Beach (10 minute walk). We hired a moped for 200 bht a day to visit all the beaches and little villages and found we had picked the right spot. Tranquility Beach was fantastic but no accommodation.

We paid only 300 bht a night which included our (cold) showering/toilet facilities. A fan and mosquito net are also provided.

As we weren't sure of costs we paid 450 bht a night at Remark Puzi and the only extras were a covered bathroom (and a flush on the toilet). We would have liked to of booked the Oasis in advance but could not find their contact details: TEL 08-1721-2547 or 08-9588-2386

The restaurant provides good food.

The only negative point was that the bar "back sound" plays very loud music from 10pm so ensure you are at the back of the site.

We spent the last night of our Thai holiday at Oasis. It was by far the best budget accomodation of the trip. We spent our first three nights on Ko chang at the Tree House down the road and after 3 nights of been kept awake by pounding music, people and rock hard beds we left in search of some rest and relaxation.

The bungalows are basic, but feel well loved, sturdy and homely. Ours cost 300 Baht and came with a bathroom area (actually outside at the back of the hut, but really nice and the shower was amazing!), all day power, a comfy bed and a fan. Towels and hammocks are avaliable for free, they just require a deposit that is returned when the item is returned. One piece of advice (for most of Thailand) is to bring a sheet with you if you like to sleep with a top sheet as this does not seem to often be provided by budget accomodation.

The Oasis is a family run affair and the staff are all really friendly, chatty and accomodating. One of our party had a run in with a hornet and he was well looked after and given a special thai creme to reduce the swelling. The food is good, with Thai and Italian options, and the resturant area has a gorgeous view and very relaxed atmosphere. It is situated a few hundred meters above the road with a grove of coconut trees seperating it from the main area of shops and restaurants. It is about a 10 minute walk to the white sands and calm waters of Lonely beach.

All and all the only dissappointment for us was that we only discovered it on our last night. We could have happily spent a week at Oasis, if not more. We didn't want to leave.

Turned up at night and all of lonely beach was booked out, rocked into Oasis and although they were full they offered to setup a tent in the restaurant area since we had no where else to go. Ended up staying a few days, the huts are basic (as most are) but gorgeous with tastefull attention to detail, they are clean and you can tell a lot of love is being put into the place. Probably my favourite place for the price.
