Hotel location is perfect for us - beach access with swings, two small walkable plazas nearby for food and laundry, quiet and restful with no crowds or hawkers. Staff is very helpful to help us arrange transportation to another restaurant. Bungalow room is a little small and linen outdated, but clean and nice overall. Only place I ever stayed where the TV remote is fixated at bedside. The spa is wonderful as well.

Downside - compare to other hotels in the immediate area, it's a bit pricey. Bathroom always hot and humid because of open window for ventilation, just keep the bathroom door closed and room will be comfortable. Not very busy nearby, so skip this area if you like to party. And expect LOTS OF ANTS AND MOSQUITOES.... most are not in the rooms but in common areas. However, this is a tropical island so it shouldn't be a surprise.

I did a lot of research trying to choose the best hotel for our needs on koh chang and I'm so glad I chose this one! Stayed end of April 08 with my partner and decided to stay in the superior beach front bungalow, which was clean, comfortable and quiet. Hotel staff were great and so were the meals (decided to eat every night in the hotel - great price, food and views!).

Resort is only about a 1 minute walk from a 7/11 and a few shops/eatery's. Also rented a scooter from down the road ($8 new zealand for 8 hours!) and took it around the island - totally worth it!

Would definately stay again! Definately recommended!

We stayed for three nights in February and ended up moving to a different hotel on the island. At first glance the hotel looks nice, but there are many things that need to be improved. It is definitely worth staying in a Deluxe room over the Superior rooms. We were initially put into a Superior Garden room in the back close to the road. The room was dirty and the bathroom looked like something from the dark ages...stone walls, no fan, no hot water, and lots of mosquitos.

The second night we were in a Deluxe Garden room. The room and bathroom were nicer, but we woke up to ants all over the room. The grounds of the hotel are nice, but infested with bugs. Mosquitos are a big problem at this hotel. The pool area and restaurant are nice, but the service was disappointing. We would often have to wait sometime before anyone would help us. I would recommend eating at the many other great restaurants on the island instead.

The hotel has a great location on the beach, but the limited number of beach front lounge chairs are often taken, so you end up staying near the pool. Lastly, though the hotel has internet service, it is very slow...must be dial-up..and the lobby is not air conditioned. Some of the earlier review rated this as a four star hotel, but I would only rate the hotel three star at most. In the end we ended up moving to Amari Emerald Cove Resort where we truly experienced four star accommodations and service. We had a much better experience at Amari and we were able to enjoy the rest of our week long stay on Koh Chang.

The hotel is in a fairly quiet area but only 200 metres away from local shops,atm`s and eating places.The staff are friendly and efficient and the whole area is kept clean and tidy.
This hotel is also most unusual(for a 4star) in that its mini bar prices are only slightly higher than the local supermarket`s.
