I had the impression the hotel is adjacent to the forest before I arrived but its between the main road and coast. The hotel rooms are lovely with good TV channels and good facilities. Having said that our telephone had to be replaced, the tap dripped and was not fixed during the stay, and the TV died on day 2 and was replaced with a substandard TV that made funny noises from time to time. Had the feeling the hotel may be short staffed. Lovely staff member 'Kai' at restaurant had a big smile but was there breakfast lunch and dinner every day.
The grounds are lovely but the resort lacks a focal point as the pool is nice but small and the gym is just OK.
Breakfast is excellent and meals in general are cheap at the hotel. Ask for Thai style if you want it as then you get better meals that are not sweet and bland.
Facilities at The Dewa are excellent with 50 metre plus pool and lovely beach access. Pick up back to hotel seemed to be haphazard.
Few shops nearby but you can walk to the odd restaurant.
