Back at Aiyapura again. This is such a gem and a resort in the traditional style. The location is just beautiful, the service exceptional. It is not one of these new style hotels which seem like city hotels by the sea - and I think that's why some folk in your reviews don't get on with it. Aiyapura is also quiet and peaceful - so if you're looking for a resort at the centre of the action then it's not the place. If you want tranquility, relaxation and pampering looking at one of the best views in Koh Chang then you'll love it. If you like the family feel of an independent hotel you'll love it. So read the reviews, I hate sitting in the lobby and hearing people saying they were expecting lots of night life nearby, or the latest boutique room etc - Aiyapura never claims to offer it, so don't blame them!

A perfect place for your get-away. Spacious bungalows in a vaste area surrounded by forest and the sea. You live in our own small house, partly with own pool and/or jacuzzi. An experience like at home but including the famous Thai service and hospilaity. There is a nice beach, but for swimming you have to use the pool as the sea is to shallow there. The hotel offers a free shutlle service to the village with a huge beach; but discovering the island by rented motorbike is definitely more fun and there are marevellous beaches nearby.

My expat husband and I have both traveled to Pattaya and Eastern for leisure and pleasure on many occasions but this was our first visit to Koh Chang with our daughters aged 11 and 9 to celebrate my 40th birthday and Aiyapura offered exactly what we were looking for. We Stayed there during our short trip 25-28 April 2010 and we love it so much and part of my wonders why I am writing this review as it is the tranquility that attracts us back each time and we wouldn't want too many people in the know, the resort its Clean, affordable, and a great peaceful location, the Superior room is very spacious, room location is perfect, the breakfast buffet spread is good, the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Aiyapura when in Koh Chang will definitely stay there again.

After reviewing a number of options on Koh Chang for our honeymoon we opted for the Aiyapura. The first thing you should know about this hotel is that it is rather isolated. We found some taxis that hardly want to take you there. On the night we arrived the "ocean view" room we had reserved was not what we were offered. Yes, it was during the Thai New Year, but they offered no solutions other than to say they were "very busy." The rooms were not all that clean and the towels and other amenities were not even close to the standard of a four-star hotel. The next day the hotel pool appeared a sickening color of green. Oh joy! A sign stated they were cleaning the pool for the entire day. What? Why would they choose to do this during such a busy time? The buffet breakfast was horrible, drinks ordered at the bar took an inordinate amount of time. When we talked to the hotel staff and managment about a refund they gave us the runaround and the General Manager was uncooperative and dishonest in dealing with us and Expedia representatives regarding a refund. We ended up leaving after 2 nights and stayed at the the Amari Emerald Cove Resort (a fastastic experience in contrast to Aiyapura).

Out of the many 5 star resorts that we have been to in different parts in Thailand, we found Aiyapura resort to be the best in all aspects.
It offers wonderful beautiful scenery, a delightful ambience, incredible facilities, amazing service from the staff, excellent food and a wonderful spa.

What else do we need for a relaxing and a fantastic holiday?

Truly, It is purely indulgence to stay in this resort. Will be back again.

We were here for our honeymoon.
Koh-Chang Thanks for our wonderful stay.
Advice to Travelers :-
This is an Amazing resort good amenities nice clean.Amazing rooms and superb service. And Staff here understand english :-)X .Beleive me that is a big plus in Thailand
Ideal for honeymoon couples , family with kids.
if staying here do go for the snorkling trip they organize.Their Snorking vendor is a very energetic lady and it was the best memory of my trip.
Backpackers and others looking for some excitement this place might turn out to be a bit boring i would suggest White sand beach for its hippie crowd or the 'Fishing Village' sorry don't know it's name.

Magical setting, excellent food, could not fault this resort. The staff were enormously helpful, friendly and kind. Our room was good, as was the dining experience.
I cannot comment much on the surrounding area as I went to White Sands only twice preferring the peace and tranquility of the resort.
I loved my stay here, I intend to return next year!
