This jewel is a must-stay while in Rishikesh. While the rooms were basic -- what you'd expect from an ashram -- they were very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed heartily each time we left or returned to the ashram, and provided with fresh towels, linens, and toilet paper each time we needed these items (a rarity in India). We were also offered fresh bottled water daily. The inn has a Govinda's vegetarian restaurant attached to it, and the food was very good (although depending of the chefs' schedules, some things were not always available). There was a bit of a language barrier in the restaurant, so it was hard to know what some of the items were, but the staff quickly came to know us and our preferences and were always cheerful. This was definitely one of the most welcoming places we stayed in India. Rishikesh is stunning. Don't miss it.
