The pool looked lovely but it was too cold for us to swim in it. However we had hot tea and ginger masala chai served at the poolside when we first arrived. The restaurant was absolutely wonderful and we loved every meal. Dinner and lunch was amazing. Breakfast was a bit simple (eggs, porridge, toast, tea) but good enough to get you going.
The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There was cable tv with HBO and tons of Indian stations. The furniture is a bit old. The atmosphere at this hotel is just a quiet oasis. The bungalows look more upscale but I've not seen inside yet.
Not too much but we were only there one night. Dinner was a bit slow to come out but nothing unmanagable. The heater in my room didn't work but the blankets were so wonderfully warm it was okay. You need soap and shampoo because they only give you a little bit or none at all.
I'd happily take clients again to here considering the conditions of many 2/3 star hotels by Indias standards.
