7 inches of snow the day before we arrived is not the normal way you see Mt. Vernon but you leave with the feeling that the mud on your shoes is the same mud George Washington brought into his home. The displays were great & loved the education center. Be warned that the paths are not paved with concrete or asphalt. In wet and snowy weather your feet will be muddy and wet. It is all part of the history.
