I had never stayed at this hotel when it was Camper's Paradise, but the rest of my family had many, many times over the years. They were very happy to see the rooms and grounds spruced up. The bathrooms were very clean, you could tell the bathrooms were not really remodeled, just spruced up. Since they were clean, that did not bother us, they are all you need to enjoy the lake.
One of the rooms we rented was the end unit upstairs with the deck. It was nice, but I do not know if it is worth spending very much extra. I think it would depend on how much time you were going to spend at the room. It is nice to have the kitchenette in the upstairs rooms, helps to save on eating out while you are enjoying the lake.
One note, as with any other hotel check and make sure you are charged the rate you were told on the phone. When we got home I realized the special rate they had offered us was not what they charged us. When I called and talked to the manager she was very apologetic and we had a refund check within days, I could not ask for more.
The manager did let us look at the suite since it was unoccupied at the time. If someone wanted to share living space but have separate bedrooms it would be very nice to rent it.
