This corporate wine bar might be the most pretentious restaurant in the area. High prices for merely-adequate "boutique" wines, trendy sandwiches and small plates, in a plain and noisy setting. Not at all worth the price, based on my three visits.
Food: Pricey, high-calorie plates, salads and sandwiches. Expensive wine; $9 for a 6-ounce house wine from a tap. Sandwiches run $9 - $11.
Atmosphere: Uninspired. Plain tables, low office-tile ceiling, uncomfortable iron chairs & tables on patio. Fairly noisy inside.
Service: Marginal. Counter order with table delivery. No follow-up from staff throughout our lunch.
It does have its place, though. My wife's book club sometimes meets here, which seems a good fit. Cafe Caturra seems targeted to small groups looking for a bit of an upscale vibe. If you can nurse a glass of wine for an hour or so and stay away from the more expensive menu items, you can have a good time chatting with friends.
