“Great cappucino”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

What a cool little place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat (if you want). Some nice big comfortable chairs for relaxing while sipping your coffee and people watching. Staff attentive and pleasant.

“Just What Middleburg Needed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

I am so pleased that Middleburg finally has a good cafe that is big enough to hang out in. You see, we also have Cuppa Giddy Up, further east on Main Street--it's great, with good coffee, but it's tiny and has a very limited menu. Most people stop in there for a cup of Joe or a smoothie to go.

Common Grounds has filled a gap, which is why it has been a success since its doors opened. It's pretty much what you want in a cafe---great coffee, great location, yummy food, and great service--friendly professional people who make you feel welcome. The ambiance is pleasant, clean, inviting, and comfortable. It's right in the center of beautiful Middleburg so you can sit on a stool and gaze out on Main Street (Route 50) or sit out on the patio under an umbrella, in front. You can plug in your laptop if you get a table by an outlet (there are a few) or you can just sink into a comfortable chair to enjoy the caffeine infusion whilst you daydream your life away. I've had a few food items as well as coffee, and everything was just dandy.

We loved this place. It is warm and inviting. The espresso coffee is of good quality, the staff is friendly. We'll come back again and again.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

We are regulars here and have never been disappointed. Fabulous customer service, great coffee, and excellent food. It does get a bit busy at times and the wait can take a little while, but it's well worth it!

“Lovely little morning coffee spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Had a Sunday morning coffee here. Great coffee..tried their Ethiopian brew featured. Also had the Egg/Cheese/Canadian Bacon Wedge, which was quite good...but a tad on the small side. Also tried my friend's chocolate chip scone and it was tasty. The outdoor patio seating was great for a nice morning coffee and conversation....oh, and at the table next to us having their breakfast was John Kerry and his wife Teresa Heinz.
