Goodstone Inn was recommended to us by a colleague so we dined there recently. The experience was wonderful. The staff coudn't have been more helpful or pleasant. And the food.....!! My husband began with the delectible mushroom crepe, and I found the French onion soup to be superb. He enjoyed the Scottish salmon and I enjoyed every last morsel of the Dayboat Diver scallop risotto. We shared a Grand Marnier souffle that was the best ever - perfectly prepared. We enjoyed the meal so much that we returned the following weekend for Sunday Brunch and we were once again impressed with the food, service, and staff. After touring the grounds, we are planning to spend a weekend getaway in one of their lovely suites. (PS. Only one tiny suggestion -- eliminate flies in the dining room.)
