Charming, small in. Had a lovely room in separate building. Very nice people. Great location. Despite extremely cold weather, room in old building was warm and comfortable. Right in the middle of shops in town, and excellent restaurant on premises.

The check in process was super easy and was checked in and given my key within 2 minutes of starting the process. Went up to my room and found an ice bucket with ice, 2 bottles of water and two homemade cookies. Made reservations for dinner located in the inn and the food was wonderful. I will most definitely visit and stay here again, everything was perfect and would recommend to anyone traveling within the area. Also in range of a couple great wineries.

Room Tip: It is not possible to choose a bad room. There are rooms in the inn and a few rooms in another buil...

The Red Fox Inn is a wonderful place to come and celebrate an event with family and friends. The staff works very hard to accommodate and make your experience the best possible. The Inn have separate building which will accommodate groups better then the main building...

Room Tip: If you are there for a quite romance trip...make sure to ask if there are any groups at the inn and...

Super polite staff at reception.
Checked in, went to room. Knock knock on the door - another staff member with ice bucket and 2 x homemade cookies. I was in heaven.
Staff made the experience extra special.
Also had dinner on site - which was a very nice meal!
Great atmosphere.
I will be back soon!

Room Tip: The side building has bigger rooms and their own bathrooms. Good parking behind the hotel. Not great...

The staff is very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and we had two very good meals in the Tavern (dinner and complementary breakfast). The Inn's location is excellent, right in the center of Middleburg and easy to get in and out of town. Parking is convenient, in a lot adjoining the Inn complex.

We stayed in room 26 with a queen canopy bed and large bathroom. The room was nicely appointed, if small, and the bedding was inviting and comfortable. We probably would have gotten a room with a king bed had we known that the fireplace in this room was not a working fireplace - we thought that would have been a nice touch. However, because of the size of the room and the temperature in the room which sometimes was TOO warm, it was just as well. The large bathroom was well-heated and came with generously-sized towels that could be warmed on the radiator.
Nice touches: Filled ice buckets and bottled water, freshly-made cookies, coffee/tea-delivered in the morning and complimentary full breakfasts in the tavern. We ate all of our meals at the Inn over the 2 days we were there - just couldn't see how we could do better, everything we had was well-prepared and delicious and the ambiance of the tavern can't be beat. All the staff members were very professional, friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Fireplaces in the rooms are not working fireplaces If you plan to spend a lot of time in the room...

They accommodated my same day reservation. Though I stayed in Room B in the annex, the room was quite comfortable and well-appointed, and very convenient parking lot available at no extra charge (a rarity in the hotel business). Besides that the fresh cookies in the room and ice were a very nice touch. Finally, the breakfast included in the tavern made this a very good deal. I would return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Rooms in the annex are very quiet and spacious, though a short walk to the tavern and bar in the mai...
