A last minute trip came up for us in Middleburg. The B&B where we usually stay was totally booked. We really got lucky to find a room at The Red Fox Inn. The Inn is a great old place with lots of different rooms for dining and a very pretty outdoor restaurant, away from the street. Our room was located in one of the Inns outbuildings called the Stray Fox. The walk there was a block away, and although it was a pretty walk, we could have used some help getting there. The room was very nice with the biggest bathroom I have ever seen, complete with high-end toiletries. The bed was a very high bed. I think the addition of a step stool would have helped greatly as I am only 5'1". An armchair was placed at the foot so I could get up. Also, it would be nice to have a local cable tv listing sheet in the room. But the cookies and bottled water was great. Our breakfast the next morning was absolutely wonderful. And our server couldn't have been nicer. I highly recommend the Red Fox Inn to anyone going to this gorgeous part of Virginia.
