“Summer fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

We love this park! Sand and sun and diving boards ......tons of fun. There is also a restaurant, paddle boats, canoes, and many hiking trails to explore. Only thing we didn't enjoy but are good things are the lifeguards. Any sign of weather and they make you get out of the water but we can understand.

I love this park. We come here often to kayak, fish, and hike/geocache. Try the Molly's Knob trail, and the Lake Trail.Very well maintained and beautiful park.

“Perfect hiking day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Nice park with plenty of trails. We did the full loop around the lake which took a couple hours. Wild raspberries were plentiful and the sitting by the lake was so peaceful. Could easily spend a full day o even weekend exploring the park and water.

“Camping at Hungry Mother”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Hungry Mother State Park campground.is beautiful, clean and well laid out. We stayed in Campground C, with campsite decks set up in the trees. Showers are clean, very accessible to the campsites and are available at no charge. The sites really could not get any more beautiful! Only thing to note is that you are setting your tent up on decking... there is no place to "stake" your tent. We have a tent that requires staking to keep it's form, so we had to hammer the stakes into the spaces in the decking--not idea. Campground C would probably not be best if you have this kind of tent.
