Madison Inn was recommended to us. It's a quaint, lovely little restaurant on the main street in the small town of Madison, VA. You have to look very carefully for it or you'll miss it as we did. While you're driving down the street, look up for the yellow Madison Inn sign with the rooster on it. Lunch was very good. My husband had the fresh trout, and I had potato soup and a chicken wrap. Besides what's on the menu specials are available for lunch and dinner. Service was a tad bit slow, but it had snowed the week we were there, so the restaurant might not have been expecting the number of people who dined there that day. What I enjoyed the most was looking at the art pieces on the wall that were done by local artists and were for sale. I would definitely stop there again if we're ever in the area.
