My wife and I recently made a weekend journey to Charlotte, N.C., south across Virginia via Highway 29. Once away from the hub-bub of the D.C. area suburbs, driving along Hwy 29 is worthy of separate mention (much better than the ugliest road in America: I-95). Anyway, a hasty internet search directed us to Market at Main. A great place for breakfast, so much so that we timed our return journey so that we could have lunch at the Market. Off-street parking was easy, the decor of the restaurant clean and cozy, and the entire staff friendly and helpful. Food was great, too, with plenty of variety at affordable prices. Certainly worth a return visit that hopefully will include more time to explore Lynchburg's revived downtown.
