“Always good food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

I've had three meals at The Dahlia over as many months -all have been delicious! Apparently, the place was a rowdy bar in the past, so I had a hard time convincing some friends to go there. My parents introduced me to the place, after a foodie friend turned them on to it. On our first visit, we ran into neighbors who told us that were always pleased with Dahlia. All three times I've been to The Dahlia the service was excellent and seafood dishes were especially good.

“Reatuarant Gem Hidden in a Lynchburg Neighborhood!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

The Dahlia doesn't look like much from the outside. A neighborhood bar, you think......well, get ready for a delicious meal! The staff is friendly and helpful as menus choices are weighed. Be sure to ask what the specials are.....as these offerings expand the menu! We had lamb shanks, on our waitress's recommendation. They were simply the best lamb shanks we have ever had. They do not take reservations, but we did not have to wait on Saturday evening. The Dahlia is definately worth a visit for a great meal!!!!

“Dependably Delicious and Friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

The Dahlia has become our go-to eatery in Lynchburg when we hanker for seafood or a good burger. We've tried lots of different items, with the fish tacos, soft-shell crabs, and hamburgers being among our favorites. My husband often tries the specials: He particularly enjoyed a cod dish last Friday, July 19. The soups (Brunswick Stew in the cooler months is yummy), sides (cole slaw!), and desserts round out a good meal. A cozy, pub-like atmosphere and cheerful staff make dining here a pleasure. That it is in our Rivermont neighborhood is a huge bonus for us. If you are passing through Lynchburg, google your way here; you won't be sorry!

“Yum Yum!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Some of the best food we've eaten in Lynchburg! Eight of us in our party and everyone said the food was delicious. My husband and I both ordered one of the specials, Cod Oscar. It was so flavorful and tender. Others in our party ordered burgers, shrimp, salmon and steak and all were wonderful. Among the eight of us we shared 3 appetizers (crabcake, fried pickles and reuben egg rolls) and 3 desserts (2 slices of chocolate cake and key lime pie) and all were delicious. Also, two uf us drank wine and our bill was just over $200, which was reasonable. The atmosphere is unique and some good blues music was playing. Our server was really knowledgeable, attentive and had lots of personality. Everything was perfect! We can't wait to go back and take our friends!
