Little oil candles on the table, wooden tables and chairs with arms, wood paneling, fireplace, lounge separate from the dining room, and not roaring loud like the steakhouses of today. My family and I went to this restaurant while we were staying in Lynchburg to escape hurricane Irene. First, I've got to tell you, I thought we would never get there. Get good directions if you are coming from Route 460. It was worth the drive, we had a great meal. The salad with slivered almonds was a nice touch to start the dinner. Our party had the ribeyes, filet mignon, shrimp scampi, prime rib, and a tex mex dinner including burritos and chili and it was all good. My husband was a Chi Chi's fan when it was in our area and he was so excited to see the mexican fried ice cream on the dessert menu. He said it was comparable to Chi Chi's dessert and that he was sorry that this restaurant was not closer to home. Take the drive to Bulls for a good steak or Tex Mex dinner in Lynchburg.
