I have eaten at 5-star restaurants in Europe, South Asia, Central and South America, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and the US. From our arrival through dessert and paying our bill, it was the best experience and the best meal I have ever eaten.
My wife and I opted for the 6-course meal and the wine pairing with 5 of the 6 courses. It was actually 7 courses, as a wonderful red wine sorbet was served for the Intermezzo. The price was very reasonable ($75 per meal + $35 for wine pairing per person). The Amuse Bouche course did not have a wine pairing, but the Appetizer through dessert were paired with Virginia wines. The chef, David Scales, not only did a wonderful job with each food course, but he choices for the wine pairings were incredible. While I cannot flat out state any particular dish was the best I have ever eaten, the entire meal from beginning to end is without a doubt the best I have enjoyed.
The excellent service provided by Anna during dinner made our meal that more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner. The dining room is small, but not crowded. The setting makes you feel special and can really enhance an intimate dinner.
