We were misled by the McCampbell Inn's description of itself as a historic inn. Even though the building itself was built in the late 1800's, the interior decor has been remodeled and now holds absolutely zero period features or furnishings. The carpeting was dingy, worn and not clean. The small shower stall was cramped and it took at least three minutes for any hot water to make its way up to the second floor. The toilet bowl was round but they had installed an oval seat on it--I mean, really? That in itself is evidence of their just slapping something on and not paying any attention to detail. The breakfast was self-serve and consisted of cereal and drinks.
I would never stay here again--very disappointing.
