Wonderful B&B. We stayed in the front room with the hot tub and brought our dog. The dog loved the huge llama farm, which borders an even bigger fox hunt ranch (which guests have access to) and loved playing with the owners dog Sammy.

The room itself was a little plain, but it did feature a sun room, hot tub (which was clean when we visited), a wood stove (gas I think).

The house itself is very nice, built with eco-friendly design with lots of windows and decks to lounge around.

  • Liked — llama farm, large estate to hike around
  • Disliked — hot tub had no manual controls

I chose this location because they had the best pictures. I loved the way the inn looked online. I was celebrating a birthday and wanted to stay at a location that was close to some good hiking. When I drove to the inn I started getting worried, I thought oh my did I make the right choice. The inn was so far off of the beaten path it made me worry. The inn was very quiet then the other guests arrived and it wasn't so quiet, but in an instant it was quiet again. I was still worried I thought my husband would be disappointed that there wasn;t a lot to do, but I was wrong. They have everything you need for a great time for a couple and/or families. loads of books, movies, pool, places to sit quietly, and areas for long walks. It was also surprisingly close to everything, even though at first blush it appears to be far away from any type of civilization. The innkeepers were great and tried verymuch to acoomodate our questions and needs. They house is run very smartly and we felt comfortable and safe while there. Chris and Linda are great conversationalist and two very smart and well travelled people, but not imposing. I would recommend that anyone who wants to have peace and quiet while they relax to stay here, if you want to hear cars whizing by and people yelling and a constant buzz, then this place may not be for you. I can say, I am from the city and the buzz makes me feel comfortable, but i have not slept more than three hours per night in over 5 years. The first night here, I slept all night a full 8-9 hours. I felt better than I have felt in a long time. Thanks Chris and Linda.

The llamas, the hillside, the flowers, the pool - everything made for a charming scene. Our family of 3 stayed in the quilter's room on the first floor. The room itself and the bathroom were very spacious, and we had our own private porch. There was also a large common area full of books and games. Breakfast (fresh fruit, whole wheat pancakes with sausage) was delicious and the owners (Chris and Linda) were good company. We stayed only one night, passing through, but we'd love to go back for a whole weekend in the summer!

We loved the llamas, and the property was gorgeous. Inside, the inn was not quite as spotless and sleek as we had hoped for - in particular, the hot tub was a bit slimy, linens kinda worn. Didn't find the innkeepers as warm and friendly as other guests seem to have. But all was worth the magnificent views of the Virginia hills, valleys and mountains, with nine llamas dotting the landscape.

  • Liked — Location in the mountains.
  • Disliked — A bit worn down, and not in the charming way.

This is the most unique B&B I have ever stayed in. It is totally secluded in a beautiful area just south of Lexington, VA. The rooms are clean, well-kept and very comfortable. I slept like a baby every night. The owners are very nice and helpful. The breakfasts are also very healthy and yummy. The pool, hot-tub and private showers were clean and the Llamas made the trip worth while. I highly recommend staying here.
