Llewellyn Lodge was recommended to me by another B&B owner. Turned out that Lexington was the perfect place to stop off I-81 on my way to Asheville, NC. Lexington is a lovely town and the street that the Lodge is on is very pedestrian friendly. I felt perfectly comfortable, as a woman traveling alone, to walk downtown past all the the lovely historic homes to shop a bit and pick up my own dinner ( both the sushi restaurant and the greek restaurant do takeout!) and check out the gift shop.
John was so helpful and made me feel very "at home." He was also very accomodating with some changes I needed to make. I stayed in two rooms, on two occasions, during my trip down and back. Both rooms were lovely, tastefully decorated and comfortable- without being too fussy. Perfect for me! This spot is on my to do list for my next trip to NC!
