On the plus side, VHC has wonderfully sized stalls, bathrooms with showers, several arenas with better than average footing. Though I didn't partake, I was happy to discover a different food vendor with some healthy choices. this is an improvement over the solitary array of fried foods as in the past.
However, I couldn't help but notice how much in need of sprucing up it now is. Fresh paint everywhere and circulation fans in the Coliseum and the East Arena would go a long to creating a fresh look and more comfort for spectators, vendors and competitors alike. In summer, it is not a pleasant place to be. The hot, humid air just sits. Likewise, in the chillier months, there is nothing to create an environment to attract outside viewers to their wonderful events.
This facility is a gem in the rough. With some polish, it could be returned to a premiere facility. Right now, it looks like no one seems to care.
