Went to see a Shakespearean play there..The atmosphere is SOOOO conducive to watching Shakespeare! They have great concerts as well. Well worth the ticket price!!

“Unfortunately, The Theatre at Lime Kiln Has Closed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

After a struggle to stay alive, the Theater at Lime Kiln has closed its doors. We share our sadness with many others who hoped the theater would survive, however. and unfortunately, the announcement was recently made that it will no longer be in business.

“Good time for family”

Hard to beat the kiln for atmosphere. Make it a starry night and a good performance, and everyone will return home content. Worth the drive.

“A unique experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

An outdoor amphitheater in the woods. The show takes place with a background of boulders. It is so awesome. The talent they bring in is excellent. Take mosquito spray and a blanket or stadium seats. We are going back for a Labor Day show.

“A Great Venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

The title says it all - a wonderful and very special performance space. Saw a bluegrass band performing, The Seldom Scene. Good sound, good sightlines.

The Theatre is in financial difficulty and in danger of closing. One hopes that residents of the area and regular patrons do not let this happen.
