“A great location for our family to enjoy a VMI graduation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2009

While this is an older property, it is a very good place to stay. It is off of the main drag of Interstates 81 and 64, on Highway 60 (aka Midland Trail). It is nice to not hear the Interstate traffic. The hotel is on a hill overlooking the mountains. The property is clearly family owned and operated, and they work very hard to meet your needs. We were in Lexington for our son's VMI Graduation, and the owners made an extra effort to have our rooms close together, even though we had not requested it. Compared to the price of other motels in the area, this one is a very good value, especially for a multiple day stay.

This Days Inn is very nice, the service is great and I was happy to stay at an American Veteran operated hotel. Very great place!

While this Days Inn could definitely use updating, the management and staff went overboard to be sure we had everything we needed. The location is wonderfully quiet.

I like Days Inn and have stayed at several. This one has personal service from caring staff, and is blessedly quiet. The manager went out of his way to assure me of the safety for me as I am a woman travelling alone; the rooms are clean and well appointed, and I slept soundly.

Very close to the city, compares to the best rated hotels. Great for a few days with the family, suitable for business, and a great place for a family reunion as well. Ask for the suites; it's like being in a little apartment with an unbelievable view of the mountains.

Not clean. A friend in another room saw had to move a bed and the box spring had dead bugs in it. Smelled horrible. They offered breakfast, but based on the room, we did not partake. Needed an inexpensive place to stay for a friend's funeral and would have rather been camping, at least it wouldn't have smelled so horrible. Carpet filthy.

I stayed at this hotel when I had an overnight pass from VMI. The hotel is just far enough from the post that I felt like I was far away and yet close enough to return easily when it was time to be back at the school. The manager helped me with parking a vehicle until my parents could return for it. The staff is always friendly, the rooms are clean and quiet. Its my home away from home when I can't go home but have an overnight leave.
