It's an average family chain restaurant that serves BBQ. They are trying to please too many people for the chain. Good, but not spectacular BBQ.

My family and I have been here several times with various groups of people and enjoyed the environment and food every time! We also like the extra large glasses providing ample water and lowering the need for refills.

Red Hot and Blue is one of our favorite barbeque restaurants in Northern Virginia. We go to both the Leesburg, Herndon and Annapolis locations on a regular basis. We both love the pulled pork sandwiches and my wife always orders the beans. I think their potato salad is some of the best in the world. Don't forget to sign-up for the birthday and anniversary club where they send you a certificate for a free entree for each occasion.

Won't comment on the atmosphere much. I guess it's OK, but I come to a BBQ place for good food.

We've been here about 4-5 times so far. The prices are decent, but the BBQ isn't great.
The only thing we've found consistently good, is the Memphis fries.
Ribs.. so so. Either too dry, or unflavorful. I've had ribs in Memphis, and these don't come anywhere close.
Cole slaw.. dry.
Burgers.. not great..
Sausage.. I never had a good one in any BBQ place..
Wings.. unmemorable
Chili was decent, but was also too watery, and I suspect some out of the can kind.
Chicken Crispers were decent, but I am not sure I need a BBQ place for that.
Pulled pork/chicken.. unmemorable.

Beer selection could be somewhat better for a BBQ joint too. Generous portions of iced tea though :)
They have a fine choice of BBQ sauces..

Only thing I remain curious about is the Onion Loaf. Seems to be a popular dish. But I am not sure we'll be coming back to find out.
