A friend and I were looking for a place to have a nice, quiet, leisurely lunch. It would help if the food were good, maybe even a little unusual and, naturally, not too expensive. And, of course, we didn't want to feel rushed. Some atmosphere wouldn't hurt either.
Shoe's fit the bill exactly. And the actual bill was fine - fair for what we got.
We ordered at the counter and the food was brought out to us. I had the soup of the day, shrimp corn chowder, and a green salad topped with rotisserie chicken. I would have appreciated more salad and a larger portion of soup. My friend had the chicken salad on multi-grain bread, and she seemed satisfied with that.
We will definitely think of returning to Shoe's.
